On May 21 to 23, 2021, the widely anticipated 13th Congress of Chinese Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons was successfully held in Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center. Many well-known orthopaedic experts from all over the country gathered together to celebrate the event, offering a rich and diverse academic feast for orthopedic practitioners. During the conference, HICREN presented a new look of the company to the industry through a series of brilliant events. The launch ceremony of the new products, the online surgery explanation and sharing event, the high-tech booth and the full range of products on display impressed the experts and industry insiders.

On the morning of May 21, the opening ceremony of the 13th Congress of Chinese Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons started in Hall 2 of the Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center. Many orthopaedic experts and scholars had attended the ceremony, and there was no empty seat. After the opening ceremony, the “Launch Ceremony of New Products of HICREN” was officially opened at the A12 HICREN booth. During the launch ceremony, we were honored to have Professor Wang Kunzheng from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Professor Wang Yan from Chinese PLA General Hospital, Professor Zhou Yue from Xinqiao Hospital of Army Medical University, Professor Rong Limin from the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and Professor Hai Yong from Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital of Capital Medical University to attend the launch ceremony and witness the release of our new products. The guests pushed the “launch ball” for the new products together, namely “percutaneous curved kyphoplasty devices”, “acrylic bone cement”, “radiofrequency ablation electrodes”, to officially launch the products in the national range. The guests also gave a high degree of affirmation and wishes to Hicren’s curved vertebroplasty, encouraging the development and growth of national medical device independent innovation brand. The good wishes of the experts will also become the motivation and power for the company to pursue excellence and move forward. The HICREN percutaneous curved kyphoplasty devices are the first single-side percutaneous kyphoplasty products independently developed in China, which can reduce surgical trauma, save surgical time, relieve patients' pain, reduce surgical complications, restore vertebral height and correct kyphoplasty deformity, etc., filling the gap in the market related to percutaneous curved kyphoplasty in China. Acrylic bone cement is the first spine special bone cement to obtain NMPA medical device registration certificate in China. Through continuous experimental demonstration and clinical verification, the R&D team of HICREN has enabled the bone cement with good operability, biological safety, excellent stability and economy. The radiofrequency ablation electrode has been certified by both NMPA and CE. The special curved design of the product can accurately control the length and bending angle of the electrode head under the transforaminal endoscopic to achieve full range of ablation and coagulation functions. The successful launch of the three new products marks the further improvement and enrichment of the series of Hicren’s product lines in the field of minimally invasive.

During the percutaneous curved vertebroplasty surgical explanation and sharing session on Online live, Professor Cheng Wei from the Affiliated Hospital of Beihua University gave a lecture with the title "Video Explanation of Percutaneous Curved Vertebroplasty PCVP". Starting from specific clinical cases, through clinical manifestations and imaging analysis, combining theory with practice, he elaborated and shared the tools used in surgery and the key points in the surgical process one by one, showing the advantages and characteristics of percutaneous curved vertebroplasty from multiple perspectives such as shortening operation time and good postoperative recovery of patients. Professor Deng Qiang from Gansu Provincial Hospital of TCM shared in the “Video Explanation of Percutaneous Curved Kyphoplasty PCKP” that percutaneous curved kyphoplasty has the advantages of small unilateral puncture damage, realizing the recovery of vertebral height with curved balloon, better reduction, good bone cement diffusion, and high patient satisfaction. At the same time, combined with clinical surgical cases, he systematically explained the key operation steps of curved vertebroplasty in surgery and shared experience. During the online Q&A session, the two professors made detailed and comprehensive analysis and answers on the questions raised by the online orthopedic practitioners, such as the applicable type of patients, intraoperative risks, key and difficult points of operation, bone cement injection amount and time control, intraoperative positioning, etc. The online audience actively asked questions, showing strong interest in curved vertebroplasty and good academic atmosphere.

The combination of technological line elements and the design tone of black, white, and blue complement each other, making the HICREN booth stand out particularly in the exhibition hall. On the exhibition stand, star products such as the curved cement inection system, curved balloon system, bone cement injection system, shaving blade/surgical electrode, PVP instrument kit, etc. are prominently displayed, showcasing the company's ambition to further advance in the field of minimally invasive surgery, in contrast to the launched curved kyphoplasty instrument, acrylic resin bone cement, and radiofrequency ablation electrode products. The on-site staff discussed products and technologies with visiting doctors and industry colleagues, expressing their opinions and creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere at the booth.
