Huake Run’s Advanced Surgical Applications Make a Spectacular Debut at the 15th COA International Academic Conference
From November 22 to 26, 2023, the 22nd Orthopaedic Academic Conference of the Chinese Medical Association and the 15th COA Academic Congress, jointly hosted by the Chinese Medical Association and its Orthopaedics Branch, organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Medical Association and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, and co-organized by the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University, was grandly held in Xi’an. Ningbo Huake Run Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary, Sino-European Zhiwei (Shanghai) Robotics Co., Ltd., showcased a comprehensive minimally invasive orthopaedic solution at this prestigious event, featuring the Intelligent Woodpecker Miniature Spinal Surgery Robot, vertebroplasty series, spinal internal fixation series, sports medicine series, active devices, and consumables. Under the theme “Space Station of HASA,” the company provided a full-scale presentation of the latest R&D achievements and innovative products from Huake Run and Sino-European Zhiwei, garnering significant attention from numerous orthopaedic experts and colleagues.

At this year’s COA Convention, Huake Run’s exhibit is themed “Space Station of HASA (HICREN’s Advanced Surgical Applications),” or the HICREN Advanced Surgical Applications Space Station. The booth design exudes a strong sense of aerospace technology and comprises five product modules: a microsurgical robot module, a vertebroplasty module, a spinal internal fixation module, a sports medicine module, and an active-device-and-consumables module.

As a major highlight of this exhibition, the Intelligent Woodpecker Miniature Spinal Surgery Robot drew intense attention from all attendees. The technical team from Sino-European Zhiwei engaged in interactive discussions with industry experts on site, showcasing the robot’s “miniature,” “precise,” and “efficient” features, which generated an enthusiastic response.

At the Huake Run exhibit, a space-capsule–shaped booth showcases a comprehensive portfolio of products, including vertebroplasty devices, spinal internal fixation systems, sports medicine solutions, and active medical devices and consumables. Star products and core components—such as angled vertebral kyphoplasty instruments, bone-cement–augmented pedicle screws, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction systems, and electric bone-tissue surgical equipment—are presented in a suspended, rotating display above the central area of the capsule. Paired with a starry-ceiling dome and cutting-edge lighting effects, this immersive installation evokes the sensation of an interstellar journey, drawing visitors into a truly enveloping experience. By seamlessly integrating a rich array of innovative orthopedic products with a space-themed aesthetic, the exhibit breaks away from conventional presentation formats and employs “astronauts” as a unifying motif to create a cleverly curated and thoughtfully arranged layout. This approach not only enhances the sense of novelty but also delivers a vivid, intuitive, and engaging exploration for all attendees.

On the afternoon of November 24, the “Kerun China: Smart Micro-Future—Clinical Trial Launch and Successful Patient Enrollment Ceremony for the Intelligent Woodpecker Miniature Spinal Surgery Robot, Together with the Unveiling Event for Huake Run’s Comprehensive Digital Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Solution” was successfully held in Xi’an during the 22nd Orthopaedic Academic Conference of the Chinese Medical Association and the 15th COA Annual Scientific Congress. On November 25, the Huake Run Digital Minimally Invasive Orthopedics Online Public Lecture was held on the Guwu Platform in a pre-recorded format, attracting numerous orthopedic colleagues to participate virtually and opening up new avenues for the development and promotion of innovative minimally invasive orthopedic concepts.
Professor Wu Dongjin of the Second Hospital of Shandong University and Professor Zhuo Xianglong of Liuzhou Workers’ Hospital provided an in-depth explanation of the technological advantages and clinical applications of the micro spinal surgical robot, comprehensively showcasing the innovative features of the Intelligent Woodpecker micro spinal surgical robot.

At the exhibition booth, the HASA Information Center provided a continuous stream of content, including presentations on corner vertebral augmentation from the COA main conference, outstanding papers on the topic, and a comprehensive portfolio of leading products selected through the spinal implant centralized procurement program, thereby comprehensively showcasing Huake Run’s product advantages and innovative capabilities.
In addition, Huake Run specially developed the “Changyou” mini-program for this event. Visitors to the booth could scan a QR code to “light up” each product module, while also gaining an in-depth understanding of the various product lines through a combination of text-and-image content, videos, and hands-on demonstrations. This tech-driven yet engaging interactive mini-program drew numerous orthopedic professionals from both China and abroad, who eagerly checked in at the booth. Meanwhile, the booth staff provided enthusiastic service and expert explanations, thoroughly introducing and showcasing the products, earning widespread acclaim and unanimous praise from attendees.
